About Softress:
Softress is a New York City-based company dedicated to producing safe natural products for the care of dry, sensitive skin and dry hair. Our products are developed for the needs of multi-ethnic skin and hair, but are effective for people of any ethnicity.

Mom Approved:
One of the biggest issues we have as a multi-racial family is our children’s skin and hair. With the combination of my fine straight hair and my husband’s coarse dark hair, it leaves our children with a mixture of the both, softer curls than my husband’s but coarser hair than my own. And thanks to a little of my own sensitive skin, my children have also inherited a skin condition called eczema, resulting in often “ashy” and flaky patches of dryness. Together, we’ve created quite a problem that mainstream products just can’t quite solve. Recently we were introduced to two products made by Softress: Love Your Hair and Deep Moisture (Winter Formula).
We’ve been using both products for several days now with our toddler daughter that has more issues with her skin and hair. Often her curls become extremely entangled almost like a cobweb if you can imagine, resulting in frizzy and dry puffs of blond. We started using the Love Your Hair, deep conditioning oil, during her bath time as a follow up to her regular shampoo. Right away I was able to actually run my fingers through her hair without getting caught at the knuckles. Just one small spritz and a quick rubdown while her hair was still wet we noticed how well it absorbed while her hair air dried. Her hair has been noticeably softer the past few days, and thankfully not dry or oily.
With the warmer weather, our daughter’s eczema hasn’t been quite as bad but we did give her daily rubdowns with the Deep Moisture Oil. Often our daughter’s skin reacts very badly with redness and irritation with typical baby lotions. This didn’t happen with the Deep Moisture oil because it doesn’t contain any fragrances, essential oils, or alcohol, all of which can cause a flare up with eczema. While the body oil isn’t a cure for her dry skin, it certainly did alleviate the flakes without leaving a residue.

What I love the most about Softress Products:
- They are specially formulated for mult-racial skin, but work just as well on my own.
- Preservative, Fragrance, and Essential Oil Free, made with edible plant oils.
- The convenient spray bottle prevents oil spillage or excess use.
Mom Improvements:
I did find that the Deep Moisture: Winter Formula left my daughter’s skin slightly oily at first. Over the course of an hour it did absorb, but I would suggest using no more than one spray.

Sounds like a great product. Although we are not multi-racial, we all have super dry skin and excema issues so I really want to try this on our skin! Thanks for the great review. Isn’t it great when we find a product that makes or life easier? Looks like this company hit the nail on the head.
